Surviving an Ice Storm with a Valentine Just For You!

Yep, were still live a kicking, but still haning on with NO POWER TO DATE.

During the break my stamper's wanted to take for January, we assisted my brother-in-law with trips to Memhpis for eye surgery as he had a cancerous tumor removed and within a couple of days was hit with a devasting ice storm which we are still trying to dig out from. It's been over two weeks and we still don't have power. So yes, I'm running on a generator. During this time our Internet server was also down so I've also just recently been able to get back online. to top things off there is still miles and miles of high line poles down, andwe were hit with heavy rains over night, and many of the fields were these poles are located are now lakes everwhere and we have excess high winds today reaching upto 60 MPH. there is no telling when the line men will be able to regain working on suppling electric to our area. And no, this isn't Kentucky, it's Arkansas.

Now for the good stuff everyone has been waiting on! Cards!!!!! MY VALENTINE TO YOU!!!! This was a card I had planned on originally using at my February stamp camp.

Stamp Set : SAB Polka Dot Punches
Cardstock : Real Red, W White
Ink: Craft White
Accessories: Big Shot Scalloped Circle, Black Brads, Real Red 5/8" ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Cuttlebug Hearts Emossing Folder

I am so ready for spring, and many of my stampers love the ease and quickness of direct stamping and I came up with idea just for them and it maybe had to see but features the shredded ribbon technique instead of a bow, and stamped cardstock vellum for a gosmmer glittery wings.

Stamp Set: Flight of the Butterfly
Cardstock: B. Banana, Regal Rose, Pumpkin P., Pretty in Pink, W. White, DSP Sweet Always. White Vellum
Ink: B Banana, Regal Rose, Pumpkin P
Accessories: Eyelet punch, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Heat & Stick powder, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

This last card is a SASE of I do believe the work of Gretchen Barron. I had thought about using it for a class but for my personal preferrence I would change the mat for the top white layer to Kiwi Kiss. Would have changed this one but it was glued down to well.

Stamp Set: Sweet Stems , Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, W White, Rose Red, DSP- Raspberry Tart
Ink: B Black, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red
Accessories: Aquapainter, Kiwi Kiss Ribbon, Scalloped Edge punch, Stickles

Beautiful cards! Love the layouts and colors you used.

I hope you have your electricity back on - we were lucky and were without power for about 10 hours.

great cards! i love the white stamped hearts on the red cardstock, and the spring colours of your butterfly card (great idea to use the vellum for the wings)!
